How Do I Become A Site?

If you are interested in joining the CINRG network, a mechanism exists to promote and facilitate this process. Interested applicants should formally request to join the network by contacting the CINRG Operations Manager at The Operations Manager will work with you on compiling the necessary application materials required to provide both an overview of your site team, facility and resources, as well as provide you with adequate information on what is involved in joining the network and establishing and a "new" CINRG site for protocol conduct.

Who do I contact?

Requests to join the network can be made by any scientific or medical professional interested in participating in CINRG studies as a participating study site. An email request should be made to the CINRG Operations Manager at by the proposed lead site investigator or an identified team member. Please indicate your interest in learning more about joining the network and include your name and affiliated institution. Should you choose to proceed a formally submit a request, the Operations Manager will be your liaison during the site application process.

What is involved?

Several documents are requested to make a formal application request. These documents include, but are not limited to:
  • Formal request letter from the submitting Investigator
  • Completion of two attached documents: Population and Infrastructure Information, Personnel Budget and Timeline Information
  • Vitae and license of noted staff (see Population and Infrastructure Information attachment)

Who reviews the application materials?

Once these documents are received, they will be reviewed by the Operations Manager to ensure all necessary information is clearly and adequately captured. Once all documents are confirmed to be complete, your new site application request will be made to the CINRG Executive Committee (EC) meeting. You will be notified of the anticipated meeting review date / process. The CINRG EC will review the application materials and hold a formal vote which will be relayed back to you within two weeks of the final vote. Upon completion of this review process, you will be notified of the outcome of the review.

How long will it take to make a formal request to join the network?

The time it takes to formally make and submit a request to join the network largely depends on how quickly you can compile the requested information. Once you have compiled the requested information and made the submission, the CINRG EC can turn around an application review in 3-6 weeks.

How long will it take for a site to "start-up" once the CINRG Executive Committee approves the application?

It takes approximately 3 months to set up a new CINRG site, from CINRG Executive Committee acceptance to CINRG and Institutional Review Board / Ethical Review Board approval to start patient enrollment. Once a new site is approved, the Operations Manager will coordinate efforts to launch the new site set-up process. This process will encompass all aspects of starting and establishing a new site, including: confirmation of appropriate staff, space, and purchase of the CQMS equipment. Staff training will be dependent on the date the new site anticipates to start participation in an existing CINRG study or plans to propose and initiate a new CINRG study.
